Challenge:
I was initially brought on for a month to work on the holiday campaign but my role was extended for several months due to ongoing needs. One of the key challenges was low email open rates. I worked with the e-commerce manager on initiatives to improve those metrics.
Solution:
I collaborated with the team to revamp their email marketing strategy. We improved subject lines, focused on messaging, played around with copy length, and tested out send times to improve customer engagement. Additionally, I worked on site and print copy that aligned with email.
Email open rates increased from less than 5% to about 10-20%.
